I always loved this picture of my mom and her doll, taken about 65 years ago.
My mom is the oldest of 14 children.
She was born in a small town Moyahua, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Just yesterday my mom gave my Baywee Girl a doll...

Just about the same size!
I thought it would be cool to try to make the pictures similar in color.
 That was hard!

My mom held Baywee while she played with her new friend;
slapping and poking her eyes. My dad enjoyed it all as well!

65 years!

25 Random Things About Me

I posted this on my facebook.
I thought I'd just post it here as well.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. My name is Yvette Ruby Reynoso Reynoso and added Barnes by marriage. Yes, (2) Reynoso's, My parents are fourth cousins. Thats why I am the way I am! Ahhhhh!

2.There are 8 in my family. 5 girls and 3 boys. I am the 5th and the peacemaker.

3. I am really close with all 7 of my brothers and sisters.

4. I was born in Panorama City, CA and lived in CA till I was 5.

5. I lived in Globe, AZ for only 3 years. So I don't claim it. I only claim the family and friends that live there.

6. I married my high school sweet heart Marty and we have 6 children. Naibe 8, Sarah (In heaven), Andres 5, Isaiah 3, Maxine (In heaven), Bailey 8 months. 4 with us and 2 miscarriages.

7. Until the birth of Bailey we realized that the names of our living children spell out our oldest daughters name. N. A. I. B - So that means when we have our next it should start with an "E."

8. I have breast-fed all four of my kids till age 2 (Well (3) the baby is just 8 months)

9. I want more kids. My own and or adoption.

10. I feel lost without my kids. They are usually always with me.

11. I homeschool my kids and I love it!

12. I like all types of music, but usually listen to Country, Christian and Spanish Music. Favorite groups include Mana, Keith Urban, Josh Turner, Tree 63, Matt Maher, Vicente Fernandez.

13. I have worked at my parents restaurant for 24 years! Seriously -I started as the hostess! Now I do the payroll and serve tables for some extra cash. I love seeing the customers that remember me when I was the little girl in the petticoat dress showing them to their table.

14. Other than my family's restaurants I have only worked at St. Catherine's Church as a Youth Minister for 2 1/2 years. After having my first baby girl, I couldn't stand teenagers anymore!

15. That reminds me... In 1999 I was working part-time at one church, volunteering at another church, working part-time at 3 restaurants, in my last semester at ASU, and Planning a wedding!

16. Got married November 20, 1999 - Graduated 2 weeks later.

17. I am ditzy. Definition : Silly or Scatterbrained - I am both! I'm ok with it.

18. Hope to someday have our own restaurant. Marty would love that now.

19. I just watched the movie "Fireproof" I loved it! At first I said it seemed cheesy, but after 15 minutes started to like it a lot! Marty fell asleep, slobbered on my shirt and then he watched the rest.

20. I love crafts. "Jack of all trades, master at none" - sewing, crochet, gardening, leather, scrapbooks, digital scrapbook, and more.

21. I attempted to start a garden a few months ago at my parents house. (6) rows 8 ft long -I planted cilantro, onion, green onions, different types of lettuce, artichokes, radishes, and snap-peas. What did I get? (2) radishes! Ahhhhhh!

22. I don't have to vacuum. Marty has to fill that need for himself twice daily. The lines and all. What confuses me is that he's ok with leaving the cord laying out through out the house...

23. I do the laundry and I will never catch up. Marty changes 3 time daily. Job-1, Basketball, Job-2. Maybe we should trade.

24. I love my husband so much. He works so hard for us. One of these days we can take that dream honeymoon. With the kids of course!

25. I give glory and praise to God for all the blessings in my life! With out Him I was blind and could not see his wonderful miracles. "Lord, Please keep me close to your Sacred Heart and forgive me for offending You."

Introducing Myself

Its exciting to embark on yet another project!
I am the type that has to try everything.
Blogging here we go!

Nellie a dear friend from church has inspired me to blog.
Nellie actually inspires me to do a lot of things. She is great!
She is also an awesome photographer! You've got to check her out at nellie welter photography
She took our pictures for Christmas last year and they are awesome! I will have to post them later on!

So...

My Beloved Yvette...

What is that about?

Well, First - I am no Scholar. So your not going to find Scholarly writings with perfect grammar around here. I am not a perfect wife and mom who has dinner  at the table every night of the week. My house is not  extremely clean and organized.  I don't really look like the picture in my header; with relaxed straightened hair, crimped eyelashes, and high heal wearing mama.

I am just a  wife to my hard working husband. A  mom to 4 beautiful children. A  daughter to some great loving parents. A  friend to some pretty awesome people.

But most importantly  I am His Beloved!
The plain me that I am...
I am His Beloved!

He loved me before I was born!
He chose me to be!
He made me the way He wanted me to be made!
He gifted me with my parents!
He chose my husband to be!
He sent His beautiful blessings with my children.
How Amazing, Awesome, Powerful, Mighty, Wondrous, Giving, Merciful, Loving God is to me.
To love me that much.
Even after I sin and offend - He loves me.
Even in my silly, embarrassing, ditzy moments - He loves me.

He has called me  "My Beloved Yvette"

Along with sharing my faith in Christ, I'd like to share thoughts, stories, pictures of our busy life and things that interest me. My family, home, children, my Catholic Faith, Prolife issues, homeschooling, leather craft, sewing, gardening, work, play, parties and many more things.
